Date Made: Mid-late 19th century

Spinning wheel; horizontal, spindle. A rectangular board has a solid wood drive wheel, with a handle on it, attached to its side at one end. At the other end a wooden spindle shaft rests between two sets of wooden blocks which are screwed into the board. The wooden spindle is crudely tapered. Some black paint on spindle, shaft and blocks holding it.
