Italian 18th-century spinning wheel at Victoria & Albert Museum, London. Color image shows decorative wooden spinning wheel adorned with marquetry of tortoiseshell, mother-of-pearl, and ivory. The piece was probably designed more for decoration than for spinning. Given to V & A by the Hon. Mrs. Carpenter. Photograph copyright Fratellli Fabbri; printed in England. [ca. 1970] 10.5 x 15 cm.
